These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ClipboardAI desktop application ("App").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
ClipboardAI is a desktop application that lets you apply custom AI prompts to selected text using keyboard shortcuts.
The App runs locally on your device. You provide your own API key to access Large Language Models (LLLMs) by model providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc. — ClipboardAI does not transmit your content to our servers.
Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, license to use the App on your own devices.
This is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
"Lifetime access" means for the lifetime of the product, i.e., as long as the product is offered and technically operable.
No redistribution, resale, or sublicensing is allowed. You are not allowed to share your license with others.
You must provide your own API keys from model providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc. to use the App.
Requests are sent directly from your device to the model provider.
ClipboardAI does not see, log, store, or transmit your API keys or your content.
You are responsible for any usage fees associated with your API keys.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the model providers' services or APIs.

We may provide updates, bug fixes, or improvements.
Updates may add, change, or remove features.
We do not guarantee future development, support, or compatibility with all future operating system versions.
Since this is a digital product, refunds are provided only at our discretion.

The App is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Mandatory consumer rights under local laws remain unaffected.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
Jurisdiction lies with the courts of Darmstadt, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
You may not use the App if prohibited by applicable laws or sanctions regulations.
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after the update means you accept the updated Terms.
